The Youngstown project will be 6MW and take up a fenced area of approximately 42.5 acres on the SW and SE quarter sections of Section 27, Township, Range 9, West of the 4 Meridian. The project will connect to the electrical gria via ATCO, Youngstown 772S substation and consist of 14,400 Longi LR5-72HBD-525-545M 545 Wp, bifacial on single axis trackers and 2 SMA MVPS 3060 kW inverters.
The project is expected to generate enough energy to power approximately 1,122 typical Albertan households, save 5,876 tonnes of carbon annually and 130,678 tonnes over the 25-year initial lifetime of the Project.
PACE believes the proposed development is in keeping with the character of the area and makes a vital contribution to addressing the climate emergency. It will also help helping to mitigate soaring energy costs, increase local biodiversity while supporting Alberta’s rural economies.
PACE Canada’s Youngstown solar project is currently under construction. The estimated in-service date is September 7, 2023.
